π This morning, we met Shri Ravinder Singh, former Chairman of the Municipal Committee Batote and a proud beneficiary of the Deep Bore Well Scheme under the Horticulture Department’s HADP initiative.
π He is a leading ultra-high-density apple farmer, showcasing the potential of sustainable horticulture in the region.
π₯ The meeting was graced by Sh. Anil Gorka, CHO Ramban; Sunil Gupta, HDO Batote; and a dedicated team including Mohd Khalil, Aman Sharma, Tariq Aziz, and Rohit Sharma.
β¨ This visit is part of the ongoing 1,100 km horticulture mission to promote HADP, MIDH, and other transformative schemes in the Jammu region.
π Stop 2: Batote, Ramban
π€ We were welcomed and honored by Mr. Jagveer, District Development Councillor (DDC) Batote.
π± He is a proud beneficiary of the Vermicompost Scheme, highlighting the importance of organic and eco-friendly farming practices.
π¨βπΎ Farmers and officials, including Sh. Anil Gorka, CHO Ramban, and his team, came together to discuss the progress and future of horticulture in this region.
π Stop 3: Sana, Ramban
π§ Met Yashpal Singh, a farmer from Panchayat Sana, who received a Portable Geo Tank under HADP.
π° Project Cost: βΉ1.60 lakh
π― Subsidy: 50% (βΉ80,000)
π Thanks to the Horticulture Department, this innovation is benefiting high-altitude farming communities.
π Stop 4: Sana, Ramban
π Met Shri Abdul Rashid Ji, who received a subsidy of βΉ90,000 for a water harvesting tank under HADP.
π‘ He has now received approval and materials for a Hi-tech Project Structure under the Protected Cultivation HADP Scheme, paving the way for advanced horticultural practices in the region.
π Stop 5: Advanced Centre for Horticulture Development, Ramban
π At 7 PM, we were warmly welcomed by Shri Anil Gorka, CHO Ramban, and his incredible team.
π This visit emphasized the region’s dedication to promoting HADP, MIDH, and other progressive horticultural schemes.

π A fruitful late-night conversation with organic Anardana farmers from Ramban.
