Today marks the successful completion of our incredible 1100 KM Mission Horticulture journey across the Jammu region! 🚴♂️ Over the past days, we traveled through numerous villages, met countless farmers, and witnessed inspiring stories of progress, determination, and innovation. This journey was aimed at promoting and creating awareness about the Holistic Agriculture Development Program (HADP) schemes, and we are proud to have accomplished it.
The Beginning of the Journey
The mission was flagged off on 11th December 2024 by Shri. Rahul Yadav Ji, IAS, Mission Director of HADP, J&K Government. His encouragement and leadership set the tone for the journey that followed—a journey filled with purpose, learning, and impactful engagement. 🌟

Throughout the mission, we visited several districts and interacted with farmers and beneficiaries of HADP schemes, sharing valuable insights and motivating them to explore the benefits of these transformative initiatives. Here are some key takeaways:
- Empowering Farmers: From subsidies on borewells, geotanks, and farm machinery to guidance on establishing rootstock banks, HADP has been a game-changer for horticulture development.
- Success Stories: Farmers across the region shared their experiences of how schemes like Project 15 (Geo portable tanks), Project 21 (Rootstock and Mother Blocks), and rejuvenation programs for old orchards have transformed their livelihoods.
- Innovative Practices: We encouraged farmers to explore modern horticultural practices, including high-density orchards, dragon fruit cultivation, and organic farming.
