This tea is cultivated in harmony with nature, on a unique estate founded by Tenzing Bodosa, a pioneer of wildlife-friendly organic farming.
Tenzing’s tea estate is a living example of eco-tourism, forest livelihoods, and coexistence with wildlife. Situated near the Bhutan border, his farm shares a buffer zone with the forest, where he planted bamboo groves and food-tree species to create green corridors for wild elephants. This allows elephants to move and feed freely, without conflict, while protecting both the animals and the crops.
In 2007, Tenzing became the only organic tea cultivator among 12,000 farmers in the region. From these humble beginnings, he has grown into a globally recognized exporter, all while preserving his core values of organic agriculture and biodiversity.
