We proudly source our CTC tea from the Elephant Conservation Tea Estate, located in the pristine foothills of the Bhutan Himalayan ranges in Bodoland, Assam. This exceptional estate is led by Tenzing Bodosa, a visionary farmer who has created a rare model of co-existence between agriculture and wildlife. His tea estate is interwoven with green corridors of food tree species, allowing wild elephants to pass and feed freely, making it a living example of eco-tourism and forest-based livelihoods.
In 2007, Tenzing became the only organic tea cultivator among 12,000 farmers in the region. His remarkable journey—from small-scale farmer to internationally recognized exporter—is rooted in sustainability. He planted bamboo in the buffer zone bordering the Bhutan forest to ensure elephants have safe and ample access to food.
